Katherine Sciver-Brunt, a right-arm seamer for England, declared her retirement from international cricket on Friday, bringing an end to her 19-year career in which she took 335 wickets in all formats.

Sciver-Brunt, who retired from test cricket last year, was a member of England's victorious 2009 World Cup team, which defeated New Zealand in the final, and won the tournament a second time on home soil in 2017.

The 37-year-old, who debuted for England in 2004, has won four Ashes series and 267 caps."After 19 years, I have reached the conclusion of my international voyage. "I believed I would never be able to reach this decision, but I have, and it has been the most difficult of my life," Sciver-Brunt stated.

"I never dreamed or aspired to do what I've done; all I ever wanted was to make my family proud. And my accomplishments go far beyond that."I have so much to be grateful for; cricket has provided me with a sense of purpose, belonging, security, countless golden memories, and lifelong best friends."

Sciver-Brunt ranks sixth among women's Twenty20 cricket wicket-takers with 114 wickets in 112 contests. With 170 deliveries, she is the fifth-highest wicket-taker in one-day internationals.
