Marnus Labuschagne,Joe Root Move Up.Check Out Latest ICC Men’s Test Rankings
Former table topper Marnus Labuschagne have moved to second spot while Rohit Sharma have also secured ninth spot.
Formerly top-ranked batters Marnus Labuschagne of Australia and Joe Root of England have climbed back to the top of the ICC Men's Test Player Rankings, moving up three places to second and third, respectively.
Labuschagne's scores of 51 and 111 in the drawn fourth Test in Manchester have increased his rating to 869, while Root's knock of 84 has increased his rating to 852. Kane Williamson of New Zealand continues to lead the list with 883 rating points.
Player of the Game Zak Crawley has moved 13 places to 35th after smashing 189, Harry Brook has risen to 11th, and Jonny Bairstow has risen three places to joint-19th following his unbeaten 99, all of whom helped England record a mammoth 592 in their sole innings.
Other notable moves include India captain Rohit Sharma moving up to ninth after scores of 80 and 57 in the drawn second Test against the West Indies in Port of Spain, Saud Shakeel's Player of the Match effort of 208 and 30 not out in Pakistan's four-wicket win over Sri Lanka in Galle, which moves him up 12 spots to 15th, and Sri Lanka's Dhananjaya de Silva moving up 11 spots to 24th.
Ravindra Jadeja has risen to sixth in the bowling rankings, while Sri Lankan Prabath Jayasuriya's seven-wicket haul in Galle has propelled him to a career-high seventh position. Ramesh Mendis, Jayasuriya's spin partner, has moved up one spot to 21st after taking six wickets in the match.
England's main gainers are Mark Wood (up three places to 23rd) and Chris Woakes (up five places to 31st), while India's Mohammad Siraj (up six places to 33rd), Pakistan leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed (up 12 places to 45th), and West Indies left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican (up six places to 62nd) are among those who advance.
