Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill take huge jump in ICC ODI rankings
Gill has jumped two places to take the fifth spot with 743 ratings and is in touching distance of Pakistan batters Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman
Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill have risen rapidly in the ICC (International Cricket Council) ODI batting rankings following their outstanding performances in the recent three-match ODI series against West Indies. Gill, who batted first in the inning, was the series' second-highest run-scorer with 126 runs in three innings at an average of 42.
Kishan, on the other hand, was named Player of the Series for marvelous 184 runs in three innings, including three half-centuries. Both batters have risen in the most recent ODI batter's rankings as a result of their extraordinary performances.
Imam-ul-Haq (745 ratings, fourth place) and Fakhar Zaman (755 ratings, third place) are within striking distance of Gill, who has moved up two spots to claim the fifth position with 743 ratings. Kishan has also achieved a career-high rating after climbing nine positions to the 36th position. In contrast, Pakistan captain Babar Azam continues his reign atop the rankings with 886 ratings.

Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav have made tremendous strides as bowlers after completing the ODI series with the most and second-most wickets, respectively. Kuldeep leapt four places and stormed into the top ten after taking seven wickets in three matches, while Thakur leapt three places to reach the 30th position after taking eight scalps. Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood maintains the number one ranking with 705 ratings.
After scoring 82 runs and taking one wicket in the series, all-rounder Hardik Pandya moved up five spots to the eleventh position with 210 ratings in the all-rounder rankings. With 371 ratings, Shakib-al-Hasan continues to reign at the summit.
Tilak Varma gave International carrier flying start
In addition, Tilak Varma, who recently made his international début during the ongoing five-match T20I series, has been rewarded for a stellar start to his career by being ranked 46th among T20I batters.
The 20-year-old is currently the leading run scorer in the T20I series with 139 runs from three innings at an average of 69.50 and one fifty. With scores of 39 and 51 in the first two matches, Varma was India's leading scorer. He then played an outstanding innings of 49* (37), which helped India chase down 160 runs in 17.5 overs during the third T20I.
