BBL 2023 Schedule: BBL Date, Time, Venue, Fixtures
Big Bash League 2023 will start from December 7 with 44 matches scheduled including four knockout matches

On Thursday, July 6, Cricket Australia announced the schedule for the 13th season of the Big Bash League. Eight teams will compete against one another in a total of 44 matches, including 40 league games and four knockout contests. On December 7, the runner-up from the previous season, Brisbane Heat, will host Melbourne Stars at the Gabba to open the season.
On December 10, the defending champions Perth Scorchers will begin their season against the Melbourne Renegades. The duration of the forthcoming season has been shortened, as teams will play ten league games as opposed to 14 in the previous edition. Additionally, no matches will be contested on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
However, on December 26 (Boxing Day), Sydney Sixers will host Melbourne Stars and Perth Scorchers will play Melbourne Renegades. In addition, the elimination stages of the 2023-24 BBL will utilize a new format.
Prior to this, the top five teams on the BBL Points Table qualified for the quarterfinal stage. Under the new format, however, the top four teams in the table of points will face off in the quarterfinal stage.
Teams finishing first and second will compete in 'The Qualifier' on January 19 for outright entry into 'The Final'. 'The Knockout' pits the third and fourth-ranked teams against one another. The victor of 'The Knockout' will face the loser of 'The Qualifier' in 'The Challenger' on January 22.
On January 24, the victor of 'The Challenger' will face the winner of 'The Qualifier' for the second position in the final. In the upcoming months, the BBL Latest News is expected to inform supporters of the knockout venues and any schedule adjustments.
