Two batters have advanced significantly in the men's ODI batter rankings, which is fantastic news for the Indian team. The No. 3 spot in the ODI batter rankings is presently held by ace Indian batter Shubman Gill, who formerly held the No. 1 spot by outstanding Pakistani batter Babar Azam. This is the highest spot currently held by an Indian player.

The improvement followed Gill's outstanding performance against Nepal in game five of the 2023 Asia Cup, where he struck 67* runs in 62 deliveries to help India easily chase the goal and win by 10 wickets.

In addition, Ishan Kishan entered the top 25 after his outstanding performance against Pakistan in match three. With 82 runs in 81 deliveries, Kishan's tenacious performance gave India's innings some stability. In the standings, he rose to the 24th spot as a result of his defeat.
