The season promises to be an interesting one for cricket fans, with India scheduled to play a total of 16 International matches, including five Tests, three ODIs, and eight Twenty20 Internationals.
Amitabh Vijayvargiya, Jayendra Sahgal, and Hari Narayan Pujari of the BCCI's Tours, Fixtures, and Technical Committee approved the locations allocated in accordance with the BCCI's venue rotation policy.
The home season will begin with India hosting Australia in a three-match One-Day International series ahead of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup. The one-day international series will be played in Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot. Following the 50-over World Cup, India will face Australia in a five-match Twenty20 International series, which will begin on November 23 in Vizag and conclude on December 3 in Hyderabad.
Afghanistan will arrive in India at the start of the new year for their first white-ball bilateral tour. The three-match T20I series will be staged in Mohali and Indore, with the final in Bengaluru, the site of Afghanistan's first-ever Test match.
Test cricket will subsequently take over, with India hosting England in a five-match Test series beginning January 25, 2024. Hyderabad, Vizag, Rajkot, Ranchi, and Dharamsala will host the enthralling Test series.
