Pakistan has named a 15-member women's squad for the Asian Games 2022, which will be held in Hangzhou, China. Nida Dar, an all-rounder, will captain Pakistan at the continental multi-sport event.

Left-arm spinner Anoosha Nasir and right-handed batsman Shawaal Zulfiqar have earned their first senior women's team calls after outstanding performances in the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup and Emerging Women's Teams Asia Cup. Diana Baig returns to international cricket after recovering from a finger injury suffered in the third and final One-Day International against Australia in January 2023.

Because athletes are not authorised to carry their children during the Asian Games, former captain Bismah Maroof opted out of the competition. Meanwhile, Ayesha Naseem will not compete in the upcoming event after the board agreed to her plea to withdraw from the sport following her participation in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

Women from Pakistan have won gold medals in the previous two tournaments, which took place in China in 2010 and South Korea in 2014. They'll be hoping for a hat-trick when they compete in the forthcoming event, which is set to take place from September 19 to 26.

The Pakistan women's squad will compete in the event beginning in the quarterfinals, which are scheduled for September 22-24, according to the ICC (International Cricket Council) T20I rankings and tournament rules. The semi-final matches will take place on September 25, while the summit clash will take place on September 26. The bronze medal competition will also take place on September 26.

Pakistan women will play three T20Is and three ODIs against South Africa as part of the ICC Women's Championship 2022-25 in Karachi from September 1-14 before competing in the continental multisport event. Furthermore, the team for the bilateral series is yet to be announced.
