Rohit Sharma issued three traffic challans for over speeding

Rohit Sharma, captain of the Indian Cricket Team, allegedly received three traffic challans on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway for exceeding the speed limit. The incident occurred as the opening batsman was en route to Pune to join the Indian team for their Thursday, October 19 match against Bangladesh.

India, which defeated Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan to advance to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, has won its first three matches and will now face Bangladesh. Sharma's vehicle reportedly surpassed 200 kilometers per hour, which resulted in the issuance of three online traffic challans for irresponsible driving.

A traffic department employee, as reported in Pune Mirror, was concerned about the Indian captain's reckless driving on a congested highway during the World Cup. The official suggested that the captain travel in the team vehicle under the supervision of a police escort. The Indian captain was reportedly driving a Lamborghini bearing the license plate number of his highest ODI score, which read '264'.
