Bravo sensationally confirms Dhoni's return to CSK next year: '100 percent'
Dwayne Bravo is “100 percent” sure that MS Dhoni will make a return to Chennai Super Kings as a player in the 2024 edition of IPL.
The Chennai Super Kings qualified for their tenth Indian Premier League final on Tuesday night in Chennai by defeating the defending champions, the Gujarat Titans. The team captained by Hardik Pandya that finished first in the standings will have another opportunity to reach the final, as they will face the victor of the match between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants.
Tuesday also marks Mahendra Singh Dhoni's penultimate appearance in Chennai during the 2023 season. With rumors swirling about his CSK future, the team's captain was asked to confirm whether he will return for the 2024 season. While Dhoni did not affirm his return, he insisted he has ample time to decide on his CSK future.
Frankly, it exacts a hefty price. After winning the final game of the season at Chepauk, Dhoni stated at the post-match presentation, "I have been away from home for literally four months.""I'll always visit CSK. I've been away from home since January and have been training since March, so we'll see," he added.
"On January 31, I left my residence, completed my duties, and began practicing on March 2nd or 3rd. It is arduous, but I have ample time to make a decision. I have 8-9 months to determine. Why suffer from a headache now? I have ample time to determine. The auction will take place in December," the 41-year-old stated.
Dwayne Bravo, Dhoni's former CSK teammate and the team's bowling coach, has presumably confirmed that Dhoni will participate in the next edition. In the post-match interview with Star Sports, when anchor Mayanti Langer asked Bravo if Dhoni would be seen wearing the coveted yellow jersey, Bravo responded, "100 percent."

"100 percent. With the Impact Player rule in particular. It will continue to extend his career," said Bravo, to the delight of Matthew Hayden and Krishnamachari Srikkanth, who were standing next to Bravo during the interview.
"He hits very far. I believe that individuals like Ajinkya Rahane and (Shivam) Dube make a significant contribution. You don't require much from MS. "However, he has the ability to maintain his composure when the team is under pressure," Bravo added.
