Amidst the intense confrontation, it was observed that Rohit Sharma and his companions were donning black armbands. Indian players wore the armbands in remembrance of former captain and spin legend Bishan Singh Bedi, who died on October 23 at the age of 77.

Bedi, widely regarded as one of India's all-time foremost left-arm spinners, succumbed to an extended illness. Since his début at the international level in 1966, he has participated in 67 Test matches and amassed 266 Test wickets. He has served as captain of the national team in twenty-two red ball cricket matches.
India will seek to clinch sixth consecutive victory
