St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Guyana Amazon Warriors announce retentions for CPL 2023
Evin Lewis, Andre Fletcher, Sherfane Rutherford, Dominic Drakes, Sheldon Cottrell are the major names retained by St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
With the 10th season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023 set to commence on August 17, franchises have begun announcing player retentions. From August 17 to September 24, the tournament will be contested in Barbados, Guyana, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Meanwhile, the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots have retained Evin Lewis, Andre Fletcher, Sherfane Rutherford, Dominic Drakes, Sheldon Cottrell, and Joshua Da Silva, among others. In addition, the Patriots recruited Windies pacer Oshane Thomas, who was transferred from Barbados Royals. The competition's overseas players and draft choices will be announced at the draft show, which is scheduled for June.
In addition, the Guyana Amazon Warriors have affirmed their player retentions, with Shimron Hetmyer returning to the squad. Odean Smith, Romario Shepherd, Shai Hope, Keemo Paul, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Gudakesh Motie, Matthew Nandu, and Junior Sinclair were retained by the team.

On August 17, 2023, the Jamaica Tallawahs will face the St. Lucia Kings at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia. The Jamaica Tallawahs, captained by Rovman Powell, won the CPL 2022 after defeating the Barbados Royals by eight wickets.
