Bangladesh defeated India by six runs to end their Asia Cup campaign on a high in the last match of Super Four stage of Asia Cup 2023.
India and Bangladesh played the final encounter of the Super Four stage at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Bangladesh was eliminated after Super Four losses to Sri Lanka and Pakistan, whereas India has already advanced to the final.

With the new ball, rookie Tanzim Hasan Sakib dismissed Rohit Sharma and Tilak Varma. India lost wickets at regular intervals because their batsmen were unable to adjust to the challenging batting conditions.
Shubman Gill, on the other hand, was exceptional as he scored 121 runs off 133 deliveries. Axar Patel attempted to bring India home with a 42-ball innings, but he was dismissed at a crucial moment. However, he fell in the penultimate over as India were bowled out for 259 with one delivery remaining. Bangladesh concluded their Asia Cup campaign on a positive note by winning by six runs.
