BCCI to rest Rahul Dravid for Ireland series; VVS Laxman to coach
VVS Laxman, who is the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), is expected to take charge of the team in Ireland.
In the first Test in Roseau, Dominica, India defeated the West Indies by an innings and 141 runs to regain its footing. On July 20, the second and final Test commences. After the conclusion of the Tests, India will play the West Indies in a three-match ODI series and depart the Caribbean after a five-match T20I series.
The 'Men in Blue' will then travel to Ireland to compete in a three-match T20I series. Dublin will host all three games on August 18, 20, and 23.
After the conclusion of the T20I series against the West Indies, India's head coach Rahul Dravid and the other members of his coaching staff, including batting coach Vikram Rathour and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, will return to India for some leisure. They will not accompany the team that will travel to Ireland.
VVS Laxman, the director of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), will likely lead the team in Ireland. As the batting coach, he will be joined by either Sitanshu Kotak or Hrishikesh Kanitkar, while the bowling coach is anticipated to be either Troy Cooley or Sairaj Bahutule.
In 2022, Laxman served as the interim head coach of the Indian team when they travelled to Ireland.
Jasprit Bumrah is anticipated to return for the Ireland series
In the Ireland series, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is anticipated to make his long-awaited return. This would be excellent preparation for the upcoming Asia Cup, home series against Australia, and ODI World Cup in October and November.

Hardik Pandya will almost certainly captain the team in Ireland. Recently beginning to play in the nets, Shreyas Iyer may be included in the squad that travels to the European nation. KL Rahul, another player recovering from injury, is ineligible for both the Ireland series and the Asia Cup because he requires additional time to recuperate.
