I would like to dedicate this POTM award to the individuals who were returned from Pakistan to Afghanistan," said Zadran in the post-match presentation,.
The Pakistani government implemented a severe assault on thousands of Afghan refugees who were residing within their borders threatening to deport them if they did not vacate by November 1. Tens of thousands of Afghan nationals subsequently fled Islamabad.
Despite U.S. calls for entrance to be granted to Afghan refugees seeking international protection in neighboring countries to shield them from persecution and other mistreatment at the hands of Taliban rulers, this action was taken.
