Travis Head makes startling claim after Bairstow-dismissal controversy

Travis Head, an Australian batsman in the middle order, has added gasoline to the controversy surrounding Jonny Bairstow's controversial dismissal in the recently concluded second Ashes Test. Head has made a startling revelation, alleging that the English wicketkeeper in the first Test did not hesitate to adopt the same strategy as Alex Carey.

While the English media has portrayed wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow as a victim of a distasteful method of dismissal, Travis Head of Australia has added another dimension to the ongoing controversy. Head disclosed having a conversation with Bairstow during the first Ashes Test, in which Bairstow threatened to dismiss the southpaw in the manner of Alex Carey.

"Jonny was not overjoyed. Last week, I reminded Jonny that I had left my crease at the end of an over. "I quickly whipped my bat back and asked Jonny if he would take the stumps, to which he replied, "Bloody oath I would," before fleeing," Head revealed on LiSTNR's Willow Talk podcast.

If you wear an England cap, they will be disappointed: Head

The southpaw supported Alex Carey's actions, pointing out that the Australians did not violate the law and were well within their rights to terminate Bairstow. After the conclusion of the tense Lord's Test, he also criticized veteran pacer Stuart Broad's remarks about Australian captain Pat Cummins. When these two teams meet for the third Test in Leeds, beginning on July 6, the tension is only going to increase on the field.

"If you wear an England cap, they will be disappointed. However, according to the letter of the law, as explained with Mitchell Starc's catch the day before, it was out for Australia. "I'm sure they would have questioned it differently if they were in the same situation, but now that the tension has subsided, it's a bit different to say that," he added.
