Top Indian cricketers complain to BCCI.Know Why ?
According to report, cricketers complained of being sleep-deprived and unable to exercise properly in preparation for the ODI series
Following the conclusion of the Test series against the West Indies, Indian cricketers on the ODI team were set to travel to Barbados on Monday night. Even though the fifth day of the second Test was cancelled due to weather, the players were exhausted since they had followed a strict regimen to be fit for international cricket. Despite this, the BCCI booked tickets for them at 11 p.m., which were eventually pushed out to 3 a.m., causing the cricketers to lose their cool.
According to sources, the cricketers complained of being sleep-deprived and unable to exercise properly in preparation for the ODI series, which is set to begin on Thursday, July 27. They have also addressed a letter to the BCCI's top officials, as a result of which the board has resolved not to schedule any flights at midnight and will take better care of travel in the future.
"They had left the hotel at 8:40 p.m. for the airport, where they had to wait for a long time." The team management has asked us to book a morning flight instead of a late-night trip because the players want to recover after the game. The BCCI has agreed to it and is considering to adjust the next schedule," a BCCI source told the Indian Express.
Indian players for the ODI series have already arrived in Barbados
Vice-captain Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, and Umran Malik, on the other hand, arrived in Barbados a few days earlier to get a feel for the conditions. Notably, with the ODI World Cup starting in less than two months, players will be looking to make a statement in order to secure a spot in the competition.
Notably, the first two ODIs are scheduled to take place in Barbados before the players fly to Trinidad for the final ODI on August 1. Team India would like to win the series to add another feather to their cap of records and accomplishments against the home team.
