In an interaction programme on Star Sports, former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and former chief selector MSK Prasad named their 15-member India World Cup 2023 squads. Ganguly selected pace-bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur for his squad, whereas Prasad opted for spin-bowling all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin. In addition, Prasad maintained a choice between Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, whereas Ganguly excluded the latter.
