Here's How Rohit Sharma Hails Virat Kohli After Win vs New Zealand

Rohit Sharma was pleased with Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami's exploits following the team's astounding victory over the New Zealand National Cricket Team.

India advanced to five victories in the ICC World Cup 2023 on Sunday, October 22 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala, defeating the team led by Tom Latham. With 12 deliveries remaining, the Men In Blue triumphed over the Kiwis by four wickets; this was India's first victory over the Kiwis in ICC events since the 2003 World Cup.

Rohit Sharma stated during the post-match presentation that they do not wish to become overly euphoric after winning five consecutive matches. What he stated was:

"Striking off well in the tournament. It is only half done. It is ideal to maintain balance. Avoid planning ahead too far in advance. It is critical to maintain awareness of the present moment.

Shami seized the opportunity with both hands – Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma stated, in reference to Mohammed Shami's inclusion in the starting XI, that the senior pacer seizes the opportunity with both hands and takes five wickets. What he stated was:

“Shami took the opportunity with both hands. He has experience in these conditions and is a class bowler. At one stage, we were looking at 300 plus. Credit to our bowlers at the back end. I am enjoying my batting. Both are different personalities but we (Him and Gill) complement each other. Happy that we won. “

Rohit Sharma added that he is at a loss for words to adequately characterise Kohli's 95-run performance, given the length of time he has been delivering game-winning innings for India. What he stated was:

“Nothing much to say. He (Kohli) has done this for us so many years. He backed himself to do the job. Kohli and Jadeja pulled us back when we lost a few wickets in the middle.”

The India National Cricket Team has established itself as one of the World Cup's leading fielding units. The Indian players were outstanding on the pitch during their first four matches of the competition. However, in their fifth match, they fell short of that standard, as Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja failed to secure simple catches. Regarding this, Rohit Sharma stated:

"Our fielding is an area in which we take great pride." Fielding was not clinical today. Ravindra Jadeja is among the world's finest fielders. Such phenomena occur. We acknowledge that fielding will undoubtedly determine a great deal in the future. "We delight in exploring new regions and travelling to play different games."
