The highly anticipated match of World Cup 2023 between India and Pakistan will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14
The highly anticipated ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan will commence at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14. The two Asian heavyweights' collision, which would undoubtedly spark the greatest rivalry in world cricket, is eagerly anticipated by fans.
Prior to the match, cricket enthusiasts are making every effort to attend the historic encounter, notwithstanding the record-breaking airfare and lodging expenses in Ahmedabad.
There have been prevalent rumors for the past five days that team India will waer the orange/saffron-colored jersey against Pakistan in the high-voltage match. Significantly, the Men in Blue donned a unique jersey featuring a combination of purple and orange for their 2019 World Cup match against England.
Team India will not, however, be donning such a jersey during this World Cup, BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) treasurer Ashish Shelar has confirmed. The team, which is managed by Rohit Sharma, will don its customary blue jersey for the match against Pakistan.
"We vehemently deny any media reports suggesting that Team India might wear a different match uniform in their match against Pakistan. These allegations are wholly unfounded and appear to be the product of an imaginative mind. "At the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, the Men in Blue will don the national color of India, blue," Shelar was reportedly quoted as saying by HindustanTimes.
During training, a number of Indian cricketers have been observed donning garments coloured orange or saffron. Nonetheless, that garment is reserved for pre-match preparations; the official blue color is intended for use during matches.
In the interim, both India and Pakistan have established themselves favorably in the World Cup. In the inaugural match between Pakistan and the Netherlands, Pakistan emerged victorious in Hyderabad by 81 runs, whereas India prevailed over Australia by six wickets in Chennai.
India lead by 7-0 in World Cup against Pakistan
India has held the upper hand over Pakistan in the 50-over World Cups, as they have emerged victorious in all seven meetings between the two teams during the tournament. Therefore, the team led by Babar Azam will be under immense strain to end their losing streak at home against the Men in Blue. On the contrary, India will endeavor to extend their winning sequence to eight victories in an effort to maintain their dominant form.
