West Indies Squad For T20I Series Against India Announced

The Cricket West Indies (CWI) Senior Men's Selection Panel announced the 15-man squad for the five-match T20I series against India on Tuesday, August 1. Notably, the T20I series between the two teams is scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 3 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad.
Notably, the provisional 15-man squad will travel for all five matches, and a 13-man squad will be selected for each game, from which the final playing XI will be selected. Notable recalls include wicketkeeper-batsman Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer, and Oshane Thomas. In addition, the selection committee explained that the squad was selected with the 2024 T20 World Cup in mind.

For the five-match series, Rovman Powell will head the team, while Kyle Mayers will serve as his deputy. Regarding the series, the second and third T20Is will be played in Providence, Guyana, while the fifth and final T20I will be played in Lauderhill, Florida.
