'Very Disappointed' Heinrich Klaasen attacks umpires after being denied no ball

Saturday afternoon's match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants erupted in controversy after the Hyderabad audience exchanged heated words with LSG players near the dugout. After the Sunrisers were unexpectedly denied a no-ball for height despite the ball appearing to pass Heinrich Klaasen above the waist, the situation appeared to escalate. The batter was visibly stunned by the decision and engaged in an animated conversation with the leg umpire, which ultimately led to disorderly conduct from the audience.

Klaasen and his batting partner Abdul Samad lost momentum after the match was halted for many minutes; Klaasen was dismissed in the same over, while Samad could only hit one six in the final over of the innings as the SRH scored 9 runs off the final seven deliveries.

Klaasen was frustrated even during the mid-match interview, as he criticized the umpires for poor decision-making and attacked the Hyderabad throng.

"I am dissatisfied with the throng. Not what you desire at the venue. Extremely disheartened because that halted our momentum. "That was not a great umpiring call, but that's part of the game," Klaasen said.

Klaasen, the top-scorer for SRH with 47 runs, stated that Krunal's double-wicket over affected the tempo of the innings. SRH's innings concluded with a score of 182/6 in 20 overs.

"The pitch altered rapidly in the midst. There was spin and a reasonable level of bounce, and there were a few rippers (by Krunal - Markram's and Phillips' wicket). It was then difficult to play the longer, more challenging balls. Must bowl length and weaker deliveries into the wicket, but cannot be too full. "It's not a terrible wicket, but it's a little slow," Klaasen said.

The SRH are presently ninth in the standings, but they can move up to sixth if they defeat the Super Giants on Saturday.
