irat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Hardik Pandya took the yo-yo fitness test at KSCA-Alur grounds in Bengaluru on Thursday. Kohli had already revealed his yo-yo test score (17.2) via an Instagram story, which drew the ire of BCCI leaders, prompting them to issue a "verbal" directive to Indian cricketers requesting that they not disclose such confidential information.

It has now come to light that both captain Rohit and vice-captain Hardik passed the yo-yo test with flying colours. However, their precise score will not be disclosed. "The tests were successful, and the BCCI will receive the reports shortly," a source with knowledge of the situation told PTI.

Notably, the current passing result in the yo-yo test for Indian cricket players is 16.5. As with any other performance-based examination, the yo-yo test score can fluctuate from day to day. A cricket player who scores 17 today can score 19 a week from now, or vice versa.

On the first day of the six-day camp, the Asia Cup-bound cricketers who were not a part of the West Indies T20Is or the Ireland series primarily participated in fitness exercises. On August 30, the Indian team will depart for Sri Lanka.

KL Rahul and a few other Indian cricketers bound for the Asia Cup are unlikely to face the yo-yo test.KL Rahul, who according to chief selector Ajit Agarkar is nursing an injury, also participated in the fitness drill but reportedly did not face the yo-yo test.

The team management and NCA staff are quite pleased with Rahul's batting fitness, as demonstrated by his participation in the match simulation process last week. However, they require more information regarding his preparedness to perform wicketkeeping duties.

In the following days, the commanding officers will monitor the 31-year-old's progress in this regard. However, as matters currently stand, Rahul may miss the beginning of the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.Shreyas Iyer was given a clean bill of health by the NCA, but he will be closely monitored due to the fact that Mumbai is also returning from injury.

In addition to Rahul, the Dublin, Ireland-based cricketers joining the squad are unlikely to pass the yo-yo test. On Friday, Jasprit Bumrah, Sanju Samson, Prasidh Krishna, and Tilak Varma will participate in the camp's skill-set segment.

In addition to their endurance, all cricketers will have their health evaluated. During the six-day course, various parameters such as lipid profile, blood sugar (fasting and PP), uric acid, calcium, Vitamin B12 and D, creatinine, testosterone, and Dexa tests will be evaluated.

In the final two days of the training camp, after the initial fitness and medical tests, the cricketers will presumably simulate matches under the supervision of head coach Rahul Dravid and batting coach Vijay Rathour.
