Ranji Trophy 2023-24 Season Complete Schedule out
Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) has announced the schedule of upcoming domestic cricket season 2023-24
The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) has released the schedule for the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season. The premier first-class competition, the Ranji Trophy, will commence on January 5, 2024. With the conclusion of the league stage on February 19 and the start of the quarterfinal rounds on February 23, the tournament will conclude on March 14.
The Duleep Trophy will commence the 2023-24 domestic season between June 28 and July 16, followed by the Deodhar Trophy from July 24 to August 4. According to Cricbuzz, the Irani Trophy will be contested between the current Ranji Trophy champions Saurashtra and the Rest of India from October 1 to 5.
According to the published schedule, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will be contested from October 16 to November 6, followed by the Vijay Hazare Trophy from November 23 to December 15. Both tournaments will feature two divisions: Elite and Plate. The Elite division will have three groups of eight teams, while the Plate division will have two groups of seven.
The Ranji Trophy will have two divisions, Elite and Plate, with four groups of eight teams in the top division and one group of six teams in the lower division. A team in the Elite division may participate in up to ten multi-day matches, including seven league games, followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final.
Each of the four Elite groups' best two teams will advance to the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the Plate division's best four teams will meet in the semifinals. Based on points, bonus points, wins, and quotient, the Plate Group finalists will be promoted to the Elite Group for the 2024-25 season, while the bottom two teams from the Elite Group will be relegated to the Plate Group.
The teams were divided as follows: Elite Group A: Winners; Quarterfinal Loser Rank 4; Elite Rank 9, 16, 17, 24, 25, and Plate Rank 2. This division consists of the following teams: Saurashtra, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Haryana, Services, and Manipur.

Elite Group B: Runners-up, Quarterfinal Loser Rank 3, Elite Ranks 10, 15, 18, 23, 26, and Plate Rank 1. Bengal, Andhra, Mumbai, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and Bihar are the teams in this division.
Elite Group C: Consists of SF loser Rank 1, QF loser Rank 2, and Elite Ranks 11, 14, 19, 22, 27, and 30. Karnataka, Punjab, Railways, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Gujarat, Tripura, and Chandigarh are the teams in this division.
Elite Group D: SF loser Rank 2, QF loser Rank 1, and Elite Ranks 12, 13, 20, 21, 28, and 29. Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Baroda, Delhi, Odisha, Pondicherry, and Jammu and Kashmir are the teams in this division.
Plate Group: Ranks 31, 32; Plate Group: Ranks 3, 4, 5, 6. Nagaland, Hyderabad, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Mizoram, and Arunachal Pradesh comprise this group.
