Maiden IPL Ton For Suryakumar Yadav,Kohli Reacts In This Way
Suryakumar Yadav produced a blistering knock in IPL 2023 against Gujarat Titans, ending the wait for his maiden ton in the league.
Suryakumar Yadav's lengthy wait for an Indian Premier League century came to an end on Friday night when he smashed a 49-ball unbeaten century for Mumbai Indians against Gujarat Titans. Suryakumar, who made his début in the league on April 6, 2012, was forced to wait 4053 days for his first IPL century. In his knock against the Titans at the Wankhede Stadium, the star batter hit 11 fours and six sixes; this was also the first century scored by a MI batter since 2014.
Virat Kohli, the star batsman for Team India, had a fantastic response to Suryakumar's century after Suryakumar's ton in Mumbai, which he acknowledged on his official Instagram account. He wrote, "Tula maanla bhau," adding a salute emoji.
Suryakumar lived up to his 'Mr. 360' moniker as he blasted bowlers all over the park, destroying them. The batter started slowly, scoring 22 runs off 17 balls by the conclusion of the eleventh over due to his cautious approach, especially against Noor Ahmed.
However, the batter hit sixes in the next two overs (against Alzarri Joseph and Mohammed Shami), and after the 17th over of the innings, he initiated a full-on assault. Before the final 18 deliveries of the inning, the batter had amassed 53 runs off 34 pitches; he scored another 50 runs in just 15.
The Indian batsman continued his barrage of shots, smashing Mohit Sharma for 20 runs in the 18th over with three fours and a six, and he reached his maiden IPL century with a six off the final delivery of the innings.
In the process, Suryakumar and Cameron Green (3 not out) added another 54 runs for the sixth wicket off only 18 deliveries.
In addition to Suryakumar's brilliant innings, MI captain Rohit Sharma (29), Ishan Kishan (31), and Vishnu Vinod (30) contributed to the team's total after being placed into bat, which negated the damage done by Rashid Khan (4/30).
