Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal got for the finals of India's World Test Championship squad against Australia after a stellar domestic season. Even though he did not get a chance to make his debut, the cricketer has been invited to participate in the upcoming two-match series against West Indies. However, he is expected to reach the team this time, as Cheteshwar Pujara has been removed from the lineup.
Jaiswal revealed that senior batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ajinkya Rahane advised him to maintain a positive attitude and to learn and appreciate the process in order to advance his cricketing career.
"They (Rohit, Kohli, and Rahane) have a tremendously strong mindset and a profound understanding of the situation. They advised me that it is up to me to advance my game, as there will be learning, but ultimately it will be my responsibility to perform. There is much to learn, and I expect to continue to enjoy the process," Jaiswal said.
"Absolutely, as Rohit bhaiya, Virat bhaiya, and Ajju bhaiya have told me, it's all about the mindset. It all depends on how well I can adapt to the situation and conditions in order to win the game for my team. During an interview with SportsTak, the 21-year-old stated that he constantly considers what he can do best for his team.
