IPL 2023 RR vs PBKS: Playing XI, Pitch Report,Match Predictions
Rajasthan Royals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings won against Kolkata Knight Riders in their respective opening game in IPL 2023.
On March 5, at Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium, the eighth match of the IPL 2023 will be played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). Last year's runner-up, Rajasthan, got off to a great start by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 72 runs. While the Royals were batting first, quick fifties from Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, and Yashasvi Jaiswal helped them reach a score of 203/5. Then, Yuzvendra Chahal took four wickets and Trent Boult took two key wickets to limit the Sunrisers to just 131/8.
Punjab Kings also got their IPL 2023 season off to a great start with a home win over Kolkata Knight Riders. The Sri Lankan batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa hit 50 runs in 32 balls, and the Kings' captain Shikhar Dhawan got 40 runs in 29 balls. This gave the Kings a score of 191/5. The Knight Riders did a great job chasing and scored 146/7, but rain stopped the game, and using the DLS method, they were seven runs short of the goal.
Arshdeep Singh won the game by taking three wickets in 19 balls, but Sam Curran, who was making his start, had a hard time. He took one wicket but gave up 12.7 runs per over. Punjab's bowling will be helped by the return of star fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, but they are the second favorite to win this game because they have lost four of their last five games against Rajasthan Royals.
