The BCCI has announced the Annual Player Contracts for the Indian women's team for 2022–23. On April 27, 2023, the BCCI announced the annual (2022-23) contract for women's cricket.

This revised central contract list includes the inclusion of seventeen players. This contract consists of three grades: A, B, and C. In addition to Harpreet Kaur, the BCCI has retained only two athletes in Grade A. A-level students include Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma.

Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Deepti Sharma have been classified in Grade A of the Central Contract List for women cricketers by the BCCI. They will receive Rs 50 lakh annually.

Five competitors, including Renuka Thakur, Jemima Rodrigues, Shefali Verma, and Rajeshwari Gaikwad, have earned a spot in Grade B. The BCCI will provide Rs 30 lakh annually to Grade B participants.

Maximum 10 players have a berth in Grade C, including Megna Singh, Devika Vaidya, Anjali Sarwani, Pooja Vastrakar, Sabhineni Meghna, Sneh Rana, Radha Yadav, Harleen Deol, Yasika Bhatia. These players are compensated an annual honorarium of Rs 10 lakh.

According to the contract from the previous year, Rajeshwari Gaikwad has been demoted from Grade A to Grade B. In addition, Pooja Vastrakar was demoted from B to C grade, and seven players received their first place in the contract: Renuka Thakur, Meghna Singh, Devika, Sabbineni Meghna, Anjali Sarwani, Radha Yadav, and Yastika Bhatia.

Jemima Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh, who previously held C-grade contracts, have now been promoted to B-grade. Similarly, Rajeshwari Gaikwad has been demoted from A to B grade. Pooja Vastrakar's grade has also been lowered from B to C. Renuka is the only player who has been awarded a B-grade contract, while the remainder have been placed in C grade.

Poonam Yadav, Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Tania Bhatia, Poonam Raut, Shikha Pandey, Arundhati Reddy. These athletes did not have a central contract.

Due to men's cricket, the BCCI made the historic decision that women will now receive the same fees as men, but according to male participants, women are paid less. In men's cricket, first-category players will receive Rs 7 crore per year, Rs 5 crore for A category players, Rs 3 crore for B category players, and Rs 1 crore for C category players, while women's cricket will have three categories.
