ODI World Cup 2023: South Africa create marvellous record in World Cup history
During their seventh game against New Zealand, South Africa created history as they registered the most number of sixes in a single edition of the World Cup.
Five of their initial six matches of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 have been won by South Africa, which has been on a roll. Ten points separate the Temba Bavuma-led squad at the summit of the standings, which also has a positive net run rate of +2.032.

Thus far in the tournament, the Proteas have achieved 82 sixes, which is 82 more than England's 76 maximums in the 2019 edition. Thus far in the tournament, Quinton de Kock has been the chief destabilizer for South Africa, smashing in 18 sixes, followed by Heinrich Klaasen with 17 maximums.
Aiden Markram (8 sixes from 7 innings), Rassie van der Dussen (7 sixes from 7 innings), and Marco Jansen (9 sixes, 6 innings) have all contributed significantly to South Africa's six-hitting celebration. Heinrich Klaasen (315 runs), De Kock (545 runs), Markram (362 runs), and Van der Dussen (353 runs) have been in sensational form in the ongoing iteration, repeatedly unleashing their fury on the opposition.
