India vs Pakistan semifinal at Eden Gardens would be a dream match

The schedule for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 has been released, and cricket aficionados cannot wait for the tournament to begin on October 5. The inaugural match of the World Cup and the championship match will be contested at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19. The venue will also host the highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan on October 15.

Due to incomplete construction, Kolkata's Eden Gardens was unable to host significant matches such as India's match against England during the 2011 World Cup. However, the venue will host five games (including one semi-final) in the upcoming edition. Snehasish Ganguly, president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), disclosed that preparations for the World Cup have begun following the conclusion of the IPL 2023.

"The preparations have begun. After the IPL, we began preparations for the World Cup. We are renovating the corporate balconies at the stadium. Ground conditions are ideal. Beginning on 1 July, preparations will be made for the earth. Our curator and our team had a meeting. Ganguly was quoted by NDTV as saying that Eden Gardens is set for the World Cup.

Snehasish Ganguly stated, in reference to the pitch at the stadium, that the audience enjoyed high-scoring games during the IPL and that they will strive to keep it that way. He added that hosting a semi-final between India and Pakistan would be a fantasy come true.
