Notably, during the 2019 Ashes, Stuart Broad dismissed David Warner seven times in ten innings, as the batsman scored 95 runs at an average of 9.50 and one half-century. It was also the worst average ever for an opening batsman in a five-match series.

In his previous fifteen innings, he has amassed only one fifty-plus score, a score of 200 against South Africa on Christmas Day at MCG in 2022. Warner will have an excellent opportunity to prepare for the Ashes, as Australia will face India in the final of the World Test Championship on June 7 at the Oval in London.
