Since his international debut for the Asian powers, India's young opening batter Shubman Gill's stock has been on the rise, with the stylish opener reaching new heights since the beginning of the year across all formats. The youngster has been deemed the "Prince" to Virat Kohli's "King," and the former Indian captain is eager to assist him in his cricketing career.

While all eyes will be on former Indian captain Virat Kohli in the World Test Championship Final against Australia, an in-form Shubman Gill can play a crucial role for the runner-ups of the previous tournament. Prior to India's championship match against Australia, Kohli acknowledged the labels the duo has received from Indian supporters, but he believes he has a greater responsibility for the team's younger players.

"These titles of king and prince and the like are wonderful for the public and spectators to see, but I believe it is the responsibility of every senior player to help improve the younger players and impart the wisdom you have gained throughout your career.

As long as a man is eager to learn like him, he will be good, as he wants to learn how to perform at the highest level for an extended period of time. Virat Kohli was quoted by the ICC as saying, "I hope he continues to play so well in this Test match, as he is a wonderful young man."
